• Stay up to date with new arrivals mission and update shelter policies and procedures as needed. • Oversight of data entry and reporting on resident census, bed availability, and resident exits (daily reporting to the City). • Coordinate resident visits and transport to off-site services at the Multi Agency Response Center and Cook County Health clinic. • Coordinate with meal delivery, health care, legal services, and partners providing on-site services. • Elevate needs from Shelter Manager to the City (e.g., supplies, donations, service gaps). • Coordinate City staff and other volunteers. • Respond to emergency situations as they arise.

Responsible for working with residents to identify and address service needs including housing, benefits, health, legal, etc. through referral or direct support.• Intake new residents. • Provide individual counseling for resident misconduct and connect to appropriate supports.

• Practice engaging and involving children and their sponsors in the reunification process• Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable• Maintain a caseload in accordance with agency policies, procedures, licensing, and contract standards• Ensure confidentiality in all program operations and service population• Implement safety protocols including evacuating children and other staff in case of an emergency• Work in a fast-paced environment and remain emotionally controlled

• Maintain situational awareness of location and status of up to 9 assigned youth care worker staff and up to 32 assigned unaccompanied children. • Ensure that assigned shelters follow activity, laundry, call schedules, and transition at designated schedule times. • Submit SIR information to the shelter manager's office within 30 minutes of the incident• Provide support and coordination up the chain of command.• Check dorms supplies throughout the shift; assist with replenishment (water, linens, PPE, cleaning supplies, UAC needs) • Receive reports on the following: "No Activity List", "Allergy/Food Intolerance" list, pending discharges/ flyouts, pending intake, schedule changes
