However, I’ve been with Beam Suntory, the world’s third-largest spirits company, for 28 years. During the span of my career, I have learned everything from brand management to brand education, in-depth training, sales excellence, commercial marketing, field sales, and beyond. Further, I have established myself as a thriving female maverick as the formerly male-dominated industry shifted to a more equitable industry for women.The spirits industry is more than just my career; it’s my passion. I have been inducted into the “Bourbon Hall of Fame,” was invited to join the exclusive Scotch Whisky Society “Keeper of the Quaich,” where I am Membership Chair and Secretary for the US Chapter, and I am also a member of the Senior Executive Committee of Women of the Vine & Spirits. Finally, I have a batch of Booker’s Bourbon with my name on it — Kathleen’s Bourbon. See? L-e-g-a-c-y.I now dedicate my days to creating a legacy for our luxury portfolio through my varied and extensive experience in thought and brand development across all spirits categories. My role is dedicated to highlighting those legacies that many of the brands enjoy while exploring the untapped potential of the industry as a whole.
