The multi-wavelength raman LIDAR system, Caeli, is a replacement and improvement to the RIVM boundary layer LIDAR currently stationed at Cabauw and it will make simultaneous measurement of vertical profiles of the water vapor mixing ratio, aerosol and cloud properties. The system is mounted in a sea container and will run automatically and continuously.
STW project: Airborne observations of solar radiation in shallow cumulus clouds.The Directional Radiance Distribution Measurement (DIRAM) device was designed and built to determine the angular distribution of shortwave radiance as a function of height in cloudy and clear-sky conditions at various surface albedos. The construction contains 42 sensors.
