I am creating social media and documentary content for YouTube, Instagram, and podcast series at WHYY.I am directing and producing a documentary short, Bumpa, a Black femme dance experience. I am a producer, editor, and color correction artist. I own an Fs5 package and have experience with Sony cinema cameras, Canon, and Panasonic mirrorless cameras. I have over 10 years of experience in Adobe Premiere as a documentary editor, and 7 years of experience as a documentary cinematographer.I am a filmmaker who regularly communes with Black, Brown, femme, and working class people. I am an advocate for agency in storytelling and meaningful analysis of how we are surviving these broken systems. The documentary world has been a constant platform for advocacy and accountability, and in my work I focus on the concerns of everyday working people.I have been filmmaking since I first studied oil painting and film production at Carver Center for Arts and Technology in 2010. I moved to Philadelphia in 2013 for my Film BFA at Temple University. I gained experience working for independent artists and grassroots organizations and was hired for various productions as a cinematographer, producer, color correction artist, and editor. I shared my love of filmmaking for 5 years at POPPYN, teaching youth about production from pre- to post. We created several award-winning episodes for broadcast and YouTube. I was the director of photography for This is for Us (dir. by Angel Edwards), and a contributing cinematographer for Queer Genius (dir. by Chet Pancake). After graduating, I continued freelancing, teaching about Consent Culture, and working with grassroots organizations. I was awarded the Future Faculty Fellowship, granting me the opportunity to teach while in school and eventually earn my Film MFA in 2021. I taught Moore College of Art and Design's first film production class in 2021. I taught Race and Ethnicity in American Cinema at Temple University, and now support on set media training for WHYY’s internship program.
