Driving Education Forward: Adapting the System to the 21st CenturyAs the Head of the ICT & Educational Technologies Department, I am proud to lead the National ICT Program, also known as the “Program for Adapting the Education System to the 21st Century.” This initiative by the Ministry of Education is designed to revolutionize teaching and learning through the integration of information and communication technologies (ICT) into the curriculum.The program began in elementary schools and has expanded to junior high and secondary schools, with the goal of fostering innovative pedagogy that equips students with the 21st-century skills they need to succeed in a rapidly changing, technology-driven world.Through this program, we empower teachers with the tools and resources to integrate digital environments effectively, enhancing both pedagogical practices and student engagement. A cornerstone of this initiative is the promotion of technological and digital literacy, achieved through diverse projects, distance learning frameworks, and innovative programs that transcend traditional time and space constraints.We are also redefining assessments by introducing online matriculation examinations that combine multimedia elements like videos, simulations, and interactive maps.
