As part of the overall Data Governance & Compliance Project, a high level application architecture analysis was carried out to understand the current application architecture used by City Power, with a specific focus on Network Operation Systems. It was important to understand the application architecture of these systems, as this provided a solid foundation to develop new data architectures, standards, policies and procedures for City Power.The Application Architecture included the following core business systems:• SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)• Geographic Information System (GIS)• System Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA)• Operational Data Management System (ODMS)• Outage Management System (eRespond)• Fault Reporting System (FRS)Kobus was the technical stream lead developing the as-is Application Architecture as well as a road map to facilitate improvements and better data management standards, policies and procedures for City Power’s electrical Network Operation Systems.
