After two years as a CPA, a chance suggestion at a holiday party launched my 30-year journey in Institutional Equity Sales. By 2007, I was helping lead the Lehman Brothers’ New York Institutional Equity Sales team as a player/coach, and after Barclays acquired Lehman in 2008, I continued as co-head of the team until October 2022.My career has always been about trust—earned through deep financial expertise/market knowledge and a relentless focus on my clients’ priorities. Working with CIOs, hedge fund founders, and portfolio managers, I built relationships grounded in respect for their time and a commitment to delivering insights that mattered. Whether analyzing the plethora of research notes to identify the one worth their attention or recommending IPOs with conviction (or not), I earned a reputation for judgment and reliability.But trust isn’t built solely on financial expertise. It’s forged over shared interests—food and wine, golf, shared authors, even ballet. My ability to adapt and connect has been as critical as my technical skills.In 2022, I joined the Portfolio Strategy Group, a move inspired by a trusted friendship.
