BNP Paribas Fortis – PAY: SEPA Direct DebitThe Single European Payment Area - SEPA – aims to work as a single domestic payments market in which citizens and economic actors will be able to make payments as easily and inexpensively as in their home country. Payments (part of Operations) has implemented a common infrastructure and operations for SEPA Credit Transfers. Payments is responsible for upgrading this infrastructure for SEPA Direct Debits with a mandatory production date of November 2009. Since this date, the assignment has shifted from project mode to Application Management, with 2 maintenance release each year.Koen’s tasks for Business Acceptance Testing included:o Interpret Business Requirements and Functional Designso Deliver Test Analysis & Executiono Defect Managemento End-to-End Testing

Since SEPA Direct Debit is in production, the entire Test Team is also responsible production support (within Application Management) to the various counterparties in the direct debit chain.Koen’s tasks for Production Support are:o Assist the SDD Application Management team leader in the Deployment of a new releaseo Ensure Production support to end-users in the Back-office : - Monitoring - Production Incident Management

Payments : SEPA Credit Transfer ProjectKBC – SEPA CT Phase 1The Single European Payment Area (SEPA) is one of the largest payment initiatives ever undertaken in Europe. Payment services are of great strategic importance for KBC as they target to be SEPA compliant as of January 1st 2008. This fixed price project faced some major challenges because of the preset release calendar combined with a high business risk exposure. Koen’s tasks included:o Business Acceptance Testing of SCT project o End-to-End Testing o Execute test scenarios in accordance with the test strategyo Interpret, understand and translate logical and physical Test Designs. During the project working in a team was of great importance.KBC – SEPA CT Phase 2This was a continuation of the previous phase, with focus on the clearing processing. Clearing involves sending, receiving and processing of payments between banks and clearing houses. Systems provided functionality to receive or send files; process them, monitor the processing; it is about volume, timing during the day (cut off timing etc).Koen’s tasks included:o Defect managementThis project was also gave Koen experience in External Testing (with sub participants of KBC for clearing houses).KBC Insurance – SIS: CommissioningSynergy Insurance System is global insurance system to support the bank-insurance concept, based on the current way-of-work meant to improve efficiency, ease of use and growth of the company.As a Business tester for SIS Distribution Koen was responsible for testing the Commissions and Involvements applications from a Business point of view.Koen’s tasks included:o Interprete KBC business ruleso Test Analysis and Executiono Defect Managemento External Testing
