Returned to the FIG team at HO. I’m now covering couple of major US and European banks & securities companies as the RM with our colleagues in the overseas offices to maintain and develop the holistic business relationship with SMBC group.

We have newly established a FIG business in EMEA, and I had acted as a global relationship manager for financial institutions in Benelux, South Europe and Asia for over 4 years. Since 2019, I focused on a planning/strategy and structuring function of the department to develop our business further. The role required knowledge of the current regulatory environment and an ability to develop financial transactions with highly sophisticated counterparties.

Covering financial institutions based in South East Asia and Australia. This included the development of high-level agreements between my institution and SE Asian and Australian banks, coincided with bank’s strategic push to develop its Asian franchise.

As a relationship manager of non-Japanese multinational corporations based in Japan as well as global Japanese corporation.
