As an individual contributor, I utilize terraform to deploy AWS Elastic Container Service based microservices and applications. I primarily work on improving our PingFederate based solution for OAuth2 access to Manheim APIs. This solution is centered around API Gateway, PingFederate, and Lambda functions to authenticate, authorize, and proxy API requests from a unified REST domain to a plethora of backing services using different technology stacks.I regularly contribute to the Site Reliability Engineering team regularly by creating reusable Github Actions tailored to our AWS environments and access modes utilizing Cox Automotive's Airlift Key Services. I have also assisted in other areas such as raising and addressing developer experience pain points and driving unification of our infrastructure to allow for easier management and updating at scale.The remainder of my responsibilities as a Principle include reviewing other teams' project proposals for ROI, future maintainability, and risk assessment/minimization. I also am called upon to assist teams that are struggling with development or cultural issues.My team remains a very rare success story for Build It, Run It (TM) across our enterprise. We are regularly selected and consulted for new initiatives and to test out new technologies where appropriate. In addition to my work on our OAuth2 and single sign-on offering, I oversee the development of our eventing API. We deliver over 2 million events per day over HTTPS to a myriad of internal and external subscribers in a highly self-service environment.Past projects have included:- on premise Spring based web services that interfaces with AS400s or Oracle Databases over JDBC/SQL - message driven asynchronous services that dispatched AS400 data queue messages to external, synchronous web services- XML message modeling and writing XSDs for integration points between teams- Migrating our applications to a multi-region, active/active setup within AWS

Developed a solution to convert requests from a 3rd party sales analysis product into Excel documents emailed to employees that allowed them to audit and confirm changes being made to stock levels and stocking status of SKU's at the store level. This software was critical in the transition away from hierarchical, market based management of store stock to a clustering approach that would cluster stores based on the demographics and habits of customers, increasing sales.Worked on a proof of concept project using Storm, Cassandra, and JRules.

Created several monitoring and reporting applications using combinations of Bash and Perl in a Linux environment. These scripts often involved interaction with LDAP, proprietary protocols accessed via Net::Telnet, and processing results before sending emailed reports if necessary.Produced a GUI front end built on the NetBeans Platform for the team to use to pull subscriber specific information and download or upload greeting WAV files via a REST interface (content was XML). Development took 1 month of spare time and there was no prior experience with the NetBeans Platform.Recruited as a subject matter expert for a legacy Movius platform, however now work almost 75% on automation, monitoring, and reporting for Acision's voice mail product.

Personal contributions included the Data Transformation Services package to migrate the old data into the new tables and format, creating a more robust and secure password encryption and generation system, and providing for transparent migration to the new password system.
