Job Description as On Job Trainer- Conduct training needs analysis and develop appropriate training programmes for various levels of trainees using relevant training techniques to enable them to perform efficient and safe operations and maintenance of equipment. Liaise closely with line departments to ensure that training is appropriate to user needs and business processes. Deliver competency based technical training relevant to the discipline as per training plan and act as Assessor/Internal Verifier for competency based training and assessment using the necessary occupational standards. Ascertain that training solutions are developed to enhance employee competence to maintain process plants and related equipment during normal, emergency and shut down situations safely and effectively. Maintain accurate records of trainee's performance/ progress and provide on the job support and guidance during and after the training event to ensure effective transfer of learning to the job. Evaluate and continuously update training courses to meet competency framework requirements and ensure that training solutions are in line with industry best practice.Job Description as Supervisor- Receives work orders related to general instrumentation and allocates work to individual technicians.  Performs a quality monitoring role, ensuring that work competed by section is adequately performed. Ensures application of work permit in the assigned areas.  Ensure Work-orders and permits are tracked and jobs closed as per set procedure.  Monitors instruments spare parts current stock levels and prepares lists of stock items required. Prompt support on technical solutions by diagnosing the problem and supporting field team on regular basis.  Troubleshoots complex operational situations, providing high level knowledge on instrument maintenance to trainees and technicians.  Initiates pro-active preventive maintenance tasks for maximizing instrumentation control loops performance and reducing corrective maintenance time.  Contributes to the integrity of the organisation structure through constructive feedback.  Prepares SOP’s, Reviews IPF’s, Work Instructions and Procedures. Ensure all mandatory HSE inductions are completed.  Proper and timely communication with team leader to ensure KPI achievement.  Ensure and check that contractor’s work is implemented safely for people and environment. Assistance in co-ordinating site and project works during new project integration into existing facilities.
