About Kong Phan

My interested is in thermal system design and mechatronics. I am proficient in SolidWorks, Autocad, C++, and LabView. Right now, I am learning to use Ansys and Matlab. One of my notable projects is the Sun Tracking Solar Panel. For this project, we created a system that can control the movement of the solar panel to track the sun's positions in the sky. My role in that project was to write the control program for the system.

    Used photo-resistors to measure the sunlight intensity on the left and right side of the solar panel. A control program on the Arduino Uno determines the direction of the sun by comparing the photo-resistor's data on each side. A servo motor will rotate the solar panel towards the side receiving the higher light intensity until the system detects equal light on both sides.
