I am constantly learning, understanding, and exploring.My innovative nature and curious mind brought me to cognitive research during my undergraduate career. I was captivated by cognitive research because, in a way, it is the basis of understanding your own brain and furthering the knowledge how these internal mechanisms work. In my research of learning and memory mechanisms I uncovered ways to improve memory through using certain study strategies, which has resulted in published research. Although my research career is in the early stages, I have gained insightful skills working with experimental design, data collection and analysis, collaboration, project management, and professional writing. On top of my academic research experience, I have worked as a sales associate and insurance provider at a State Farm office. My time in the office has shown me the importance of the consumer experience and understanding their needs. I then pivoted into industry research as a research analyst. I handled projects from beginning to end, established strong communications with clients, and created deliverables explaining research findings.Currently, I am a Psychology PhD student at Montana State University. As I forward my education and training, I am looking to sharpen my skills and continue my industry experience in research and writing, management, and exploring new industries.
