Fly Tying Archive is a website offering information on fly tying founded in 2011. In 2015 I started a proprietorship with the same name to better manage my fly tying related endeavours under the same roof which include magazine articles, photography, videography and fly tying exhibitions & workshops.

Work included multiple roles such as-MRP Controller-QC Lab Technician-Chemical Safety assessments-Chemical operator

I worked in the heat treatment department of Sandvik's factory in Lahti manufacturing hydraulic hammers used in mining and construction. The work focused on laboratory measurements and sampling for quality control and research. The measurements included atmospheric, temperature, and hardness measurements. The work included hands on heat treatment of tools in one of the largest heat treatment facilities in Finland and supervising the heat treatment process. The facility has traditional retort furnaces and a more modern automated heat treatment system with batch furnaces.

Helsinki Spey Clave is Finland's leading fly fishing store where I worked from 2008-2013 as a salesman. As in any small business the work included all branches of running a B&M and an online-store from customer service to marketing and working as a purchasing agent. In 2013 I started to study at Aalto University and my work profile advanced to being more of a consultant especially in the graphic and online marketing department.

I worked 5 months based in UPM's plywood factory in Lahti and touring other factories in Finland producing material for their internal education network. It was a good opportunity to see the plywood manufacturing process from start to finish and to get familiar with large scale operations and processes.

I was working through summer at UPM's plywood factory in different parts of production and maintenance. This year mostly cutting parts for wind turbine blades.
