I am passionate about bringing people together, in both my professional and personal life. To deliver relevant news at FOX and bring the people of Colorado together is extremely fulfilling. In delivering news, we deliver information that enriches the lives of our viewers and I extend that professional goal into my personal life - at all levels. Teaching Communications at Metro State enables me to influence and guide the next generation to success in filmmaking and producing, whether it is for future news broadcasting or other film endeavors.Coaching and mentoring keep me close to kids and running fast! I currently head coach my son's basketball team and am the Basketball Delegate for the Spartans in the Arapahoe Youth League (AYL). In addition, I hold a board position with the Cherry Creek Little League Baseball Organization. I have a fundamental belief that giving back to the community creates an opportunity to significantly impact and create better educational opportunities for our children.One particular achievement of which I am extremely proud is my participation in the Fair Housing Public Service Announcement, an outreach program I was able to participate in with my son. Fostering cultural tolerance and removing prejudices from future generations is such a critical component to our global success. Being recognized by Governor Hickenlooper and the Director of the Colorado Civil Rights Division was a big bonus!

I pursued employment with FOX and KWGN in Denver and so many great milestones in my career have happened here. Winning the Emmy in 2004 for the "Debut of Good Day Colorado" definitely sits at the top of my accomplishments.On any given day, I supervise and direct approximately 7-9 operation technicians who are airing Good Day Colorado and Day Break simultaneously from 5am - 9am Monday through Friday. My staff is responsible for the production, post-production and breaking news coverage that may break into a regularly scheduled newscast. One of the most rewarding aspects of this position is the collaboration with the EIC's, creative services department, and executive producers. There are times in my long career here and are still some days when I wear many hats, including Audio technician, In-Studio Handheld Camera Operator, Technical Director and Fill-in Newscast Director along with various other duties. It keeps things exciting!In my 20 years, I have held a variety of positions, but the promotion in July of 2008 was most meaningful and significant to my career thus far. As part of this promotion, I also worked as the first Technical Director for the launch of our morning show in 2004. The work I delivered there led to another critical promotion that enabled me to earn the 2004 Emmy. I then held the Team Morning Director Position and launched the "Debut of Good Day Colorado" to awesome reviews!
