Lsp Training Academy

I am responsible for oversight of all LSP Training sections to include (Firearms, Emergency Vehicle Operation, In-Service, Cadet Training, and a Descalation Training Center. I am also the statewide coordinator of the Field Training Officer program. I am a board member of the Southeastern Field Training Officer Association (SEFTOA). I am currently serving as the Southern Region Chair on the executive board of the IACP SPPDAS Section

I was the Cadet Class Coordinator, Field Training Officer State Coordinator, and Internship Program Coordinator. I was tasked with planning, designing, and implementing the Louisiana State Police Training Cadet Training. I supervised staff in both commissioned and non-commissioned civilian positions. In addition, I oversaw adjunct instructors, duty officers, and roll players during training. I was also a general instructor, assisting in instructing several law enforcement-related topics.

Lsp Training Academy

I was assigned to the Louisiana State Police Training Academy. My primary assignment was as a driving instructor at our Emergency Vehicle Operation Center (EVOC). I am responsible for development of training, coordination of adjunct instructors and assisting the facility supervisor in the day to day operation of the track.

Troop B

I was assigned to the Patrol Division in the capacity of a member of the DWI Enforcement Unit. My primary responsibilities were to identify and apprehend drivers on Louisiana roadways who are impaired by alcohol and/or prescribed or illicit narcotics. Certified as a drug recognition expert.

I was assigned to the Criminal Patrol Unit at Troop B. My primary responsibilities are to identify and apprehend felons on Louisiana roadways and in selected high crime areas contribute to a statewide intelligence network to disseminate information pertaining to interdiction methods and trends to all State Police officers and assist in the training of State Police personnel in criminal interdiction techniques.

I was assigned to Troop B in the New Orleans area. I am responsible for the enforcement of law with an emphasis on traffic related laws that contribute to and cause traffic crashes and unsafe traffic conditions. This is done through the detection and enforcement of laws. I am responsible to the detection of impaired drivers. I am responsible for the investigation of traffic crashes to include hit and run and fatality crashes. I take part in several federally funded grants aimed at enforcing laws related to the detection of impaired drivers, hazardous moving violation and safety belt use.

I worked in the patrol division and worked as a patrol deputy with responsibility to patrol to detect and deter crime, prepare written reports of crimes and arrests for further investigations or trial in court. I also enforced the traffic laws of the state in an effort to ensure the safety of the motoring public. I was active in participating in several federal grants and local compensated grants directed at driving while in intoxicated, hazardous moving violations, and seatbelt use. I was assigned as a field crime scene support officer along with being an evidence custodian for the shift. I was responsible for the collection and preservation of physical evidence and securing the chain of custody.I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and was responsible for the direct supervision of 10-15 patrol deputies. I was responsible for ensuring that the appropriate steps were taken in the response to incidents. I was also responsible for handling administrative functions from scheduling to discipline for the officers in my control. While a member of the St. John Sheriff's office I was also a member of the department honor guard and a member of the special operations response team (SORT). As a SORT team member I was assigned to the entry team and later was one of two original snipers assigned to the team. I wrote the departmental policy for the sniper element for the SORT team. I was the Vice-President of the St. John Crime fighters which is a nonprofit organization made up of members of the department which does community service projects for the community and also the members of the department.

I was assigned as an unarmed security officer responsible for the overall security and safety of the occupants of a commercial office building located in Washington, DC. I was responsible for access control of persons and property into and out of the property. I was certified by the city

I was assigned to both field and garrison units during my tenure in the Marine Corps. During my field assignment, I was trained to conduct battlefield route reconnaissance and security, the establishment and operation of camps to manage enemy prisoners of war. I was also directly involved the training of other Marines in riot control techniques. I also trained in several small arms as well as several crew-served weapons. While assigned to the garrison unit, I worked in more traditional law enforcement roles wherein I conducted vehicle and foot patrols to detect and deter crimes and traffic violations. I was also assigned to work as a dispatcher for the patrol units. In that capacity I was responsible for dispatching unit to calls for service as well as monitoring and conducting record checks on NCIC , a local database and also a base wide computer system that was used to monitor the building alarms of all buildings on base. Upon my promotion to the rank of Corporal I was assigned to also work as a Desk Sergeant with responsibility to ensure calls for service were handled in accordance with established policies and procedures. I was also responsible for ensuring the correctness of written reports.
