Starting at Coinbase I was tasked with developing and expanding the existing production team to handle all of our live/video production and voice and video services. This particular role was much more focused on production vs in office technology and builds in my previous role. With a charter of remote first over in person we were able to design and deploy a highly flexible media production infrastructure and workflow to support the needs of the business while allowing the team to be located anywhere.

Utilizing the full landscape of the collaboration space we are able to provide the business with exactly what they need as well as push the envelope with new technology solutions through key integrations and workflow automation.

In 2014 I was given the opportunity to oversee a team of AV engineers (13) to run the day-to-day operational support provided by the media productions department at LinkedIn. At its peak the operations staff successfully executed over 3600 live events on an annual basis, which was consistently up 60% year over year. By designing new policy and tweaking our existing workflows to incorporate as much automation as possible we’ve been able to keep the team relatively lean and highly talented.When not focusing on team management my project focus revolved around our infrastructure systems and workflow design that the department depends on daily basis. Projects range from end-to-end video production systems and internal video streaming to self-service recording systems and content delivery portals. I’m always looking for new ways to improve our daily workflows to increase efficiency through process, custom tools development and new hardware / software systems.In 2017 we worked on expanding our regional service offering to five of our major office locations and continued this global expansion throughout 2018. Through detailed metrics, reporting, strong relationships with executive staff we’ll be able to forecast business needs and growth rate accurately.

Handling the day-to-day technical support calls for the company's consumer product line, both hardware and software (Pro Tools Systems). If there's something this company makes that is broken, I can fix it for you. Every time I picked up the phone it was an adventure of sorts. It could be Joe Schmoe at his home studio asking why they can't hear his mic or NBC needing their major issue solved in 5 seconds. Being able to shift gears every few minutes adjusting to each situation and human temperament you could possibly imagine is definitely an art form. I can say I with confidence that I now know the meaning of patience and empathy.

Worked on a small film by the name of "Highway 61" where I handled the daily studio setup and breakdown as well as Pro Tools operation during the recording and overdub sessions. Other Hats:Schedule organizer and studio maintenance/repair man.
