Provide support to manufacturing engineering department and functions. Help design and improve product manufacturing methods, fixtures, tools, and other related equipment. Design, build, modify, and repair molds, fixtures, tools, and other related equipment. Assist in identifying and solving engineering and processing problems through root cause analysis. Identify, designs, and implements new methods and tools to improve processing efficiencies and productivity, ergonomics, and safety. Suggest purchasing necessary engineering and mechanical equipment, tool, supplies, and materials. Assist in training other associates in product, process, tools, equipment, and safety methods. Apply technical knowledge to manufacturing processes, equipment, and measurements to enhance manufacturing safety, efficiency, and productivity. Support continuous manufacturing improvements and kaizen events to implement the lean manufacturing process throughout the facility. Collect and analyze data, suggests methods to improve manufacturing processes. Utilize root cause analysis to help solve engineering and processing challenges.

Operated rotational molding machinery. Provided leadership and communicates with all team members on all shifts to ensure consistent methods and results. Encouraged and ensured team members follow strict adherence to process and produce quality products. Understand and can successfully operate machine, setting up molds on the machine, proper loading, unloading, care of molds, and troubleshooting. Maintained and ensured quality by establishing and regularly checking machine settings (temperature, time, air, water, damper, and rotation) to insure they are consistent with the documented instructions. Ensured all production records including oven charts are detailed, thorough, legible, and accurate.

Cut and shaped wood stock to desired dimensions using woodworking machines such as bandsaw or lathe. Draw or sketch design for wood carving, checkering, or marquetry. Laid out dimensions on wood stock according to design or template. Selected special woods for carving or marquetry according to color, strength, and grain. Sanded and scrape work piece to prepare for finishing. Applied varnish, stain, oil or lacquer to finish surfaces. Inspect finished work piece for irregularities and conformance to specifications or pattern.

Tested and repaired hearing aids, using oscilloscope, electrical test meters, and also hand tools, following schematic diagram. Tested circuits for shorts, open wires, or defective parts, using electrical test meters. Soldered loose connections replaces defective parts, like resistors, condensers, batteries, and transistors. Repaired or replaced transformers, microphone, and also volume control. Built custom hearing aids for patients from start to finish.
