❖ Serves as a member of the rotating junior faculty in the Department of History. This position is part of a two-year fellowship with the U.S. Army Center for Military History at Ft. McNair in Washington DC.

❖ Responsible for facilitating the effective education of high school students in subjects relating to Social Studies, creating effective & engaging lesson plans, developing appropriate curricula, and ensuring the academic success of students. ❖ Set up learning schedules and lesson plans, making sure to select appropriate learning materials & resources in order to effectively achieve curriculum objectives.❖ Analyze the individual needs, interests, strengths, and weaknesses of each student in order to adapt education methodologies accordingly. ❖ Monitor and track the progress and discipline of students, addressing performance or behavioral problems and communicating with parents when needed. ❖ Establish clear classroom and debating rules to promote order and facilitate successful classroom management. ❖ Attend faculty meetings, staff training sessions, parent-teacher conferences, and other learning-program planning meetings.❖ Educate students in a diverse selection of subjects, including A.P. U.S. History, A.P. Research, Honors World History, Honors Economics, and Honors U.S. History. ❖ Develop and implement course curricula that align with Common Core and College Board Standards.❖ Serve as the co-leader for Chicago Public School’s A.P. U.S. History professional development community. ❖ Recognized as a Chicago Council on Global Affairs Koldyke Global Teacher of the Year for 2017-2018, awarded the corresponding fellowship.

❖ Serve as the Civil Affairs Team Leader for the 418th Civil Affairs Battalion, A Company. ❖ Responsible for overseeing the successful deployment of a four-Soldier CA team to Romania.❖ Invited to provide instruction to multinational courses at Romanian National Defense University. ❖ Planned and executed more than 130 engagements with Romanian military and civilian partners.❖ Worked in close collaboration with Public Diplomacy staff at U.S. Embassy in Bucharest.❖ Developed engagement strategy for two Civil Affairs teams in Romania for Operation Saber Guardian.❖ Security Clearance Eligibility: Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information.

❖ Served as the Civil Affairs Team Leader for the 415th Civil Affairs Battalion, B Company. ❖ Coordinated with civilian agencies and other U.S. Army units to plan realistic training.❖ Directly responsible for managing a tactically-proficient civil affairs team comprised of approximately four to five soldiers at any given time. ❖ Graduated the U.S. Army Cold Weather Operations Course along with fellow team members.

❖ Served as the Company Commander for the 724th Transportation Company. ❖ Responsible for commanding 63 Soldiers deployed in Poland to support Operation Atlantic Resolve.❖ Directly responsible for the safe transport of more than 700K gallons of bulk petroleum products to US forces across Eastern Europe.❖ Coordinated pre-mobilization training with European hazardous cargo driver certifiers and oversaw a driver’s training program for more than 60 heavy vehicle drivers.❖ Enforced standards of supply economy through the proper use, care, maintenance, and accountability for a fleet of 49 x M1088 and M915 trucks and 29 x M969 bulk fuel tanker trailers. ❖ Accountable as a unit for transporting nearly $3,000,000 worth of bulk petroleum products to operations throughout Eastern and Central Europe.

❖ Served as the Assistant Supply Officer for the 649th Regional Support Group.❖ Assisted in developing effective life support plans for force-generation missions. ❖ Awarded the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, Silver.❖ Member of the unit’s Army Ten Miler running team, placing in the top 10% of male runners.

As a Koldyke Global Teaching Fellow at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, I had the privilege of conducting a research trip to Chile to engage with teachers, education administrators, and academics on various pedagogical topics related to history teaching in secondary education. This experience allowed me to develop cross-cultural communication skills and gain valuable insights into global education practices.

❖ Served as the Company Commander of the 822nd Military Police Company, commanding a 123-Soldier Internment/Resettlement Military Police Unit. ❖ Responsible for strategic planning, personnel management, and writing and refining unit operating procedures in accordance with all applicable DOD regulations.❖ Accountable for managing and overseeing more than $3M in government property.

❖ Served as the Logistics Officer and Property Book Officer for the 327th Military Police Battalion.❖ Accountable for safeguarding more than $65M in U.S. Army property across three states. ❖ Managed transfers, turn-ins, and requisitions for property, including sensitive items.❖ Successfully regained proper accountability of $150K in U.S. Army property through investigations.❖ Completed Basic Combat Training and Officer Candidate School.❖ Honor Graduate from Quartermaster Basic Officer Leadership Course.❖ Awarded the BOLC “Iron Man” award for physical fitness.

❖ Responsible for teaching college courses on a part-time, contractual basis in subjects relating to the social sciences, particularly in the area of history.❖ Develop course syllabi and corresponding assignments in order to facilitate effective learning.❖ Monitor and assess student performance, providing coaching and feedback as needed.❖ Teaching courses in various subject matters, including U.S. History, Modern World Civilizations, The Modern Middle East, Modern East Asia, U.S. Labor and Business History, and the Cold War.❖ Developed course materials in conjunction with other faculty members.

Assisted in conducting the foundational research for a major online educational exhibit for the upcoming sesquicentennial of the Civil War. Conducted primary source archival research in the state archives and Tennessee Historical Society archives for this project. Reviewed over 200 items from nearly seventy different collections related to the experience of civilians in Tennessee during the Civil War.
