Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina

I formed a part of the team of external advisors to the City Government of Buenos Aires, Department of Citizens' Culture and Culture Change. As a team, we analysed a wide variety of interventions from those promoting better sociality to responsible rubbish disposal and safer driving. I contributed to a better intervention design by bringing in a profound understanding of humans as social and cultural beings.

Sindhuli District, Nepal

Key responsibilities:• Provide a link between the office staff and the volunteers• Support staff to deliver the project on the ground: arranging and managing logistics, financial settlement and limited resources available• Oversee volunteers’ welfare and performance: train, guide and provide pastoral care to volunteers, support setting and achieving personal targets and monitor contribution to overall projectKey achievements:• Successfully managed two cycles of international volunteers (24 18-25-year-old individuals), to have a highly satisfying field experience, while also hitting and exceeding the project set targets for development impact• Conducted 17 group learning sessions to a total number of 86 national and international volunteers• Designed and delivered seven waste management sessions to over 250 local people in eight different communities, thus adding to the project value• Gained trust and eventually a financial support of the key stakeholders in the communities• Re-designed daily reporting format and handover notes, contributing to the long-term project improvement• Lead the development of an idea of a "community resource centre" - one of the project's funding priorities

Key responsibilities:• Provided an administrative, recruitment and project management support to the executive director• Supported Media and PR Manager delivering blog, newsletter and social media content • Supervised a team of 20 18-24-year-old volunteers from Canada on their Alternative Spring Break programmeKey achievements:• Created an information pack for the Ambassadors of the NGO and a bi-lingual Volunteering Agreement• Analysed and evaluated 3 ongoing sustainable development projects (establishment and maintenance of a school garden, construction of bio-latrines, developing a rural tourism cooperative), making effective recommendations that saved the organisation around a fourth of its project budget

Belize

Key responsibilities:• In a team of 3, develop new projects, re-develop unsuccessful past applications and apply for grants• Research potential donors, awards, and other funding opportunities• Draft and monitor strategies for financial sustainability• Develop learning material to promote nature conservation consciousness in the communitiesKey achievements:• Developed budgets for 4 projects amounting from $500 to $200,000• Improved an internal database for potential financial donor information• Designed and implemented a marketing campaign that as a result attracted 75 per cent more sustainable income in just the first month• Delivered an ad hoc response to a dangerous oil development plan in the area: initiated and collated an open letter for the biggest newspaper in the country

Key responsibilities:• Support senior staff in implementing the project: writing grant applications, establishing smooth internal communication channels, developing resources. • Co-ordinate elections and subsequet running of the project• Manage all the paperwork generated by the project• Write project reports to fundersKey achievements and lessons learnt:• Worked in a team of eight on developing main concepts and a novel framework for a previously run project called “Lithuanian School Student Parliament" • Co-ordinated school student elections in 190 schools across the country: drafted a communication strategy, reached out to all 60 municipalities, updated and sent out resources, answered phone and email queries from 60 Education officers, over 20 school principals and 150 election candidates• Managed the logistics and provided training to the 100 participants of the project for two years • Secured subsequent funding from the Ministry of Education
