Currently I'm working as a freelance stage and event technician at my own business Kramer audio. In the recent history I had the honor to work with multiple clients on exciting projects.To mention a few examples, I was the monitor-mixing engineer for the live TV event "Nooit meer dood, altijd leven!!", I worked on a big stage at "Bevrijdingsfestival Zwolle" in 2014, 2015, and 2017 and I'm also a technician at a big christian teen event called "Square". During my Bachelor Mechanical Engineering I had the specific wish to combine Mechanical Engineering with my background as a sound and event technician. At Peutz I had the change to do a research internship as a mechanical engineer in the direction of Noise barriers and trafic noise. This sound illogical, however there are multiple big mechanical and acoustical challenges I had to overcome. To simulatie traffic noise I had to create an uncorrelated line source with speakers of multiple meters long, which is as far as I know not done before. I also needed to make a scale model of a special shape sound barrier and together with my own created line source I needed to research the acoustic effects of this specific design sound barrier.In the end I want to become a mechanical engineer with an acoustic background which does not only help me as a stage and event technician, but especially as a mechanical engineer working on projects where sound emission matters.

During my minor SMART (Simulation and Manufacturing using Automation, Robots and Technology), I had the opportunity to learn a lot about Electrical engineering and software engineering. I followed courses during this semester in PLC Programming, Robot programming (ABB), Industrial Components and Machine vision. I programmed software in SLC, Halcon and ABB Robot Studio. Beyond the courses I did a project with a fellow student at an engineering firm called TME where we made an electronic stabilising solution for turning machines which are supported by only one hoisting point. We achieved this by using multiple sensors and an Arduino. We delivered a working proof of concept and the product is close to production ready.

During my intern here I focused on expanding my experience as a sound engineer and event technician. I learned a lot in the practical way as a stagehand and worked on smaller productions as a independent sound engineer. In this period I helped at a lot of diverse productions like "The Blues Brothers", "De Dijk", "Only Seven Left" and "Tangarine".

During my intern at Red Audio (Known at that time as HOF audio), I had the opportunity to learn a lot about Stage and Event technique, especially the audio aspect. In this period I had the privilege to be part of the exciting productions like the "Nederland zingt dag", "Make a wish gala" and the big celebration of the 400 year anniversary of Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (RUG400). Beyond my duties in the field I helped in the warehouse and did repairs in the technical department.
