Office Marketing PM (Oct 2008 – Oct 2009)Excell Data Corp (contract on site at Microsoft Redmond, WA) PM position with the Marketing Group for Office products in the Managed Business division at Microsoft. While the role is called a PM it really consists more of a Business Analyst Role, to support the marketing team by interfacing with finance to create and maintain Key Product Indicator Scorecards (KPI’s). The reports down load the data from the financial data base via SQL connections into Excel Sheets where multiple pivot tables and complex custom functions create the needed data to populate the scorecard sheets unitized by the marketing group. These in turn are distributed into SharePoint sites and used in the Quarterly Review Board with the executive level attention. Another key role that I play is collecting non-financial KPI’s across the division to be added to the Quarterly Review Board Reports interfacing with multiple and varied sources, varying from Accounting to competitive research data. My job entailed developing these reports to specifications needed and to keep them refreshed with current data and corrected for any changes from the financial data base such as changes to the rolling calendar or data collection methodologies affecting number collection. These reports are constantly evolving with new business views as budget and goals became more scrutinized over the last year than ever before. I revamped the Budget tool for the division so that it would be more automated for multiple users, tracking by product, project, division, projected budgets, goals, and user details pulling data from multiple tools to be consolidated into one report.

UAT tested custom tools, such as AutoCDL and SMT update releases and data conversions. Instrumental in creating and managing new data requirements for X2 and K/KN and Service Pack Releases for Office and Vista among others.

Dive Technician - (2001 – 2005)Starfish Diving (Seattle), Bubbles Below (Woodinville), Scubaset (Federal Way), Terkel Dive Equipment (Woodinville) I had the pleasure of taking a five year adventure working purely for curiosity and enjoyment rather than career path. Over the course of these five years I worked for three different Scuba Diving Stores. I had a varied and long list of responsibilities. This included Opening and closing, security procedures, balancing the till, maintenance for building, Pool, Compressor and Air Banks. Organizing and scheduling receivables, sales, repairs, classes, store dives and activities. I was also a repair technician for regulator service and rebuilds, tank inspections, and gas blender. During these five years I also assisted with scuba classes and have obtained an instructors certificate and led numerous dive trips.
As a Materials Coordinator (later termed Program Manager) responsibilities included collaborating with Project Directors to establish project schedule, costs, and resource requirements for project proposals and quotes. Once the contract was established and in design development the coordinator was responsible for the development of the Bills of Materials and all sourcing and deliveries of material needed to get thru all project start up phases. Acting as the liaison between the Project Design Teams, Quality Testing, Purchasing, Pricing and Accounting, Manufacturing Engineering, Vendors, and Planning and Production Control Groups on the integration of new designs. As a technical contract buyer I purchased custom printed circuit boards and computer peripherals. I maintained all consignment contracts of Electronic Circuit Board Assemblies. Implementing and overseeing annual audits with the Quality Engineering to monitor fabrication sources and vendors to ensure the highest quality standards. I played a key role in leading a three man team taking SeaMed‘s consignment assembly kits turn-key. This required implementing full traceability systems at qualifying vendor sources. This encompassed altering MRP systems and purchasing practices to include critical data and working with the vendors to establish ISO 9000 qualification. We established collaborative workmanship and FDA medical quality standards. As a cost saving program we implemented pre-production manufacturing reviews on new products. The goal of out sourcing was to lower our in house over all material handling and assembly costs on production builds by 20 percent while maintaining life support system level FDA requirements for traceability to component level due to any future need for product recalls or repairs.
Electronic Engineering Technician (1990 – 1994) Plexus / SeaMED Corp. (Bothell, WA) Engineering work consisted of Test, calibration, assembly and assembly documentation, part source documentation, and working with Document Control to develop engineering and production BOMs, and repair of Proto Type Medical Electronic Devices. Items such as pace maker controller programmers, open heart surgery monitoring systems, and heart defibulator emergency devices. I was also responsible for organization of Lab Stores and vendor/source parts library and new technologies seminars for Engineering.
Electronic Production Technician (1984 – 1989)ELDEC Corporation, (Bothell, WA) Performed high-level electronic testing and calibration of both commercial and military aircraft systems (Aircraft Proximity Monitor and Control Systems and related products).
