We introduced Grafana and Prometheus to our monitoring suite, integrating them with our existing alerting and out-of-hours support systems.Working closely with the Development, Platform, and Infrastructure teams to promote seamless deployment, stability, reliability, repeatability, and troubleshooting practices.Main duties include: - Designing, deploying and documenting enterprise-scale monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki with IaC - Monitoring of production and pre-production environments - Developing new and improved monitoring, metrics gathering, and presentation to assist in reducing incidents and outages, and increasing availability - Provide statistics to the Systems Manager in support of weekly/monthly reporting - Kubernetes Cluster maintenance and deployment in EKS - Working closely with AWS Services such as EKS, EC2, CloudFront, S3, etc - On-call support, including supporting out-of-hours activities and Technical changes - Incident investigation, management, and escalation, including alerting the wider business to problems reported by monitoring systems - Post-mortem investigations and root cause analysis of incidents - Delivering automated/scripted solutions in a CI/CD workflow to support system stability and software development teams - Supporting/training other SRE team staff in their daily duties and delegating/managing/documenting workloads where required - Management of ongoing project work in support of application development - Implementation of workarounds and patches on live systems - Linux system administration and maintenance - BS7858 Security screened Show less
