An announcer, photographer, multimedia strategist and professor of media and production, Kris Freeman is the managing partner of Strategic Marketing Solutions and a professional public address announcer.The in-arena voice of historic Memorial Gymnasium at Vanderbilt University for the past 10 years in Nashville, Tennessee, Kris is the public address announcer for the Vanderbilt Commodores in men's and women's basketball, Vanderbilt lacrosse and other various announcing or voice over roles. He is the voice of Floyd Stadium and Middle Tennessee State University football, and the TSSAA Bluecross Bowl football state championships, Bluecross Basketball state championships and the Spring Fling baseball state championships. With 28 years of experience on a high school support staff as an announcer, sports information director and marketing teacher, Kris started his own business for multimedia and continues to teach as an adjunct media professor in the college of media and journalism/communications at Lipscomb University in Nashville. Kris holds a Masters of Arts in Education from Union University and a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.He lends his voice to the daily sports updates of WHIN Radio of Brayden Madison Broadcasting and is the play by play voice of Liberty Creek High School football during the fall on Fridays for WHIN Radio.He and Jennifer have been married for 25 years, and she is a Human Resources and payroll analyst at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. His daughter Madison is a law school student and son Noah is a college media student and broadcaster for ESPN Plus.With over 1,300 events on the mic, Kris has worked in minor league baseball at two levels, the NCAA for teams in the Southeastern Conference, Conference USA, ASUN and SIAC, NAIA and the Mid South Conference, and over 300 state championship or tournament high school events. He is a volunteer with The Special Olympics in Nashville and has been an emcee for a hometown tour and concert for an American Idol finalist in White House, TN.On standby for a professional sports franchise, his dream is to work in Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, National Football League and National Hockey League.His passion is photography for families, businesses and sporting events, and he has helped lead and serve as a missionary in Jamaica, Niger in West Africa, and a tornado relief mission with the American Red Cross and the Nazarene Church in Oklahoma City during the largest tornado recovery in American history.
