Profile bio

About Kris Stringer

My experiences at LM have allowed me to design, test, and integrate new subsystems from the ground up as well as learn about and support existing systems. This experience includes hardware, firmware, and software which has given me the diversity in Electrical Engineering that I was hoping to obtain in the workplace through my assignments. While on LRASM I was the technical point of contact for multiple subcontracts as the lead for the Telemetry and FTS development. This experience taught me some invaluable lessons about dealing with subcontractors and higher level management skills. I have had the opportunity to interface with our customers (DARPA, AFRL, Israeli MOD, MDA, & LTPO) on various programs and have interfaced directly with the test directorates and the range safety officers at our ranges. This has provided me a broad range of technical and leadership skills that translated well from my telemetry background into my roles within the Applied Research (AR) group. In AR, I led the integration efforts in the Affordability Test Bed (ATB) and later became the PI for the Low Cost Prototyping IRAD. From AR, I moved into the Air and Missile Defense Emerging Programs directorate as the MAD-FIRES Projectile IPT Lead and the MHTK Semi-Active variant Technical lead. These roles challenged me to grow further outside of the EE discipline and lead multi-disciplined teams while balancing subcontractor and customer interactions. These led to a role within the Chief Engineering (CE) organization as the LTIAMD Development Weapons Integration CE, where my areas of technical oversite included PAC-3/Aegis Integration, M-SHORAD, and the BMFC for Laser Weapon Systems. I recently served as the EE Digital Technology (DT) Section Manager in Dallas where I collaborate with the EE director and other section managers to oversee the planning, implementation, and oversight of the engineering goals and objectives for the DT section and ultimately the entire EE directorate. A recent realignment of our functional organization has brought me to my current role within the Hardware Engineering directorate as the Senior Manager for the Logic Design section across the MFC Enterprise.

Listed skills include Testing, Integration, Electrical Engineering, Sensors, and 19 others.
