About Kris Webb

Kris Webb (Kristen Thornton-Webb) has been an innovative science educator for twenty years. She graduated from Agnes Scott College (℅ ‘95, Psychology major) and holds dual Master's Degrees in Science Education and in Educational Leadership. Ms. Webb taught 8th grade math and science for thirteen years and served as the Science Department Chair for Renfroe Middle School in City Schools of Decatur. As a veteran teacher she supervised student teachers and numerous interns. In 2012 Ms. Webb co-founded the Sudbury School of Atlanta, a non-profit private democratic school in Avondale Estates.In 2013 she founded the Science of Fun, a STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) education company in Decatur with an afterschool program and summer camp. In 2014, the Science of Fun was included in Atlanta Magazine’s Innovation Index, which recognizes up-and-coming innovators in education.
