In this role, I manage the entire information technology, telephonic, and satellite communications architecture for entire base operations in Diego Garcia. I led 66 contractors in the installation of base Fiber Optic upgrade while improving reliability between sites for crucial communications between naval installations in the 7th fleet.My accomplishments include:• Deliver secure and reliable command and control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) systems and service to US Naval, Joint, Inter-Agency and Coalition Forces operating in the Indian Ocean area of responsibility Overseas Contingency Operations.• Oversee $6.4M telecommunications contract manager and provide oversight to local contracting company.

As a Technical Expert, I successfully installed, operated, and maintained integrated voice communication equipment, including analysis of equipment performance utilizing system maintenance and test software routines. Additionally, I conducted preventive and corrective maintenance on AN/STC-2(V), AN/STC-3(V), and MARCOM telephony and power systems. My accomplishments include:• Played a critical role while serving as a technical expert; overhauled the AN/STC-2(V) system and peripheral equipment on four Naval Destroyers.• Charged with upgrading the AN/STC-2(V) system to an AN/STC-3(V) system on two Naval Destroyers and conducted System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) for an on-time system certification.• Executed operational and technical training as well as testing, calibration, fault isolation, and repair on AN/STC-2(V), AN/STC-3(V), and MARCOM telecommunication systems, power systems, and peripheral components.• Reviewed and interpreted technical manuals, blueprints, ship construction drawings, mechanical drawings, wire connection list, electrical schematics and diagrams.• Composed and detailed technical reports and documents to senior leaders.

While serving as a Mid-Level Manager, I directed, operated, maintained, and repaired the Integrated Voice Network (IVN) Definity G3r single node telecommunication system. I also tested and conducted connector repairs on the fiber optic cabling for the analog and digital multiplexing distribution system in accordance with applicable DOD and service-specific standards.My accomplishments include:• Scheduled the daily tasking of maintenance, testing, and repairs for 48 team members.• Trained / mentored junior techs in equipment testing and fault isolation techniques

As Team Lead, I operated and performed preventive and corrective maintenance on the Integrated Voice Network (IVN) Definity G3r multi node telecommunication system and associated alarm sensing devices and auxiliary power systems. Additionally, I mitigated and replaced faulty components, subassemblies, and assemblies to restore equipment to optimum operating condition.My accomplishments include:• Frequent usage of digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and time-domain reflectometers for cabling and hardware circuit fault analysis and repairs.• Maintained logs and submitted monthly reports to the Commanding Officer for the call accounting system.
