As a software developer, my responsibilities include  Worked with various Business users to gather reporting requirements and understandthe intent of reports and attended meetings to provide updates on status of theprojects. Responsible for Analyzing report requirements/business requirements and developingthe reports by writing Teradata SQL Queries and also by creating prototypes. Developed ETL programs using Informatica to implement the business requirements. Tuning of SQL to Optimize the Performance, Spool Space Usage and CPU usage. Provided support to other developers in accurately mapping source attributes into theTeradata and in interpreting business requirements Created a BTEQ script for pre-population of the work tables prior to the main loadprocess. Involved in loading of data into Teradata from legacy systems and flat files using FastLoad scripts. Involved in troubleshooting the production issues and providing production support Effectively used Informatica parameter files for defining mapping variables, workflowvariables, FTP connections and relational connections. Effectively worked on Onsite and Offshore work model.
