Joulon is a KKR backed MNC providing comprehensive asset management solutions (goods/services/project management) for the energy industryMy role involves overseeing the tax affairs of the entire group having operations in more than 15 countries – such as Brazil, India, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore, UAE, UK, US, etc.Key projects / responsibilities include:• Restructuring overall group holding structure in a tax efficient manner to transition from geographical holding to business segment holding with a view to consolidate and potential exit• Tax inputs on multi-territory projects concerning contracting entity, transaction flow, cash flow impact, local taxation/compliance requirements • Overseeing local tax compliances and providing central support on tax audit / investigations and tax litigations • Others – devising tax efficient cash repatriation strategies having regard to Transfer Pricing and withholding tax considerations, UAE Economic Substance Regulation (ESR) evaluation, etc.
