Leading and Managing Regulatory Affairs Department of Foods Division. Shouldered a challenge for Green field project (Structured RSA Management System) with following key responsibilities:1. Designing, Developing & Implementing Structured Regulatory & Scientific Affairs Mgt System.2. Periodic Review and Audit of Regulatory System.3. Support organisation in formulating short-long term plans/strategies for maximizing customer satisfaction, ensuring safety & quality in Regulatory environment and minimizing incidences or justifiable complaints from Regulators.4. Capacity Building activities.5. Identifying possible threats/ opportunities from upcoming regulations under FSSAI, Consumer Affairs, Other Govt Food Policies and their effective management by lobbying with industry/Industry associations/regulators.6. Training & Refresher Training on Regulations.7. ITC Representative in FICCI - CODEX Cell8. Active Participation in Seminar, Workshop Organised by FSSAI and Industry Association.9. Participating in Industry Association's Workshop as Speaker.10. Work closely with regulatory and trade associations (CII, BCCI, FICCI, CIFTI, AIFPA, FBMI, ICMA, ASSOCHAM) to look at National- International Regulatory Changes and Challenges i.e CODEX, FSANZ, EU regulations that might have an impact on ITCs business and manage them proactively.

- Interpretation of the Regulatory standards for SAR (South Asia Regions) countries.- Establishing & implementing Regulatory requirements for Export & Import.- Preparing dossiers/Representations and Submitting to Food authorities.- Advocacy & Influencing Strategies.- Supporting all the stakeholders by providing solutions & eliminating any regulatory myopia post project implementation.- Interacting with Applications Groups for Regulatory Assessments during Concept, Development & Industrialization stages of projects.- Developing cost effective strategies keeping in view of regulatory aspects/requirements.- Preparing Representation for Govt. Regulatory Authorities. - Participation and Effective contribution in FICCI, CII, ILSI, AIFPA and ICMA meetings. - India Lead for Global projects on Chocolate & Confectionery Projects.- Responsible for updating Global Regulatory Repository w.r.t. changes in laws.

• Establishing department objective/road map/budget, conducting audits at the supplier’s sites and own/ contract manufacturing sites.• Experience in conceptualising/implementing quality management system and production procedures, including training (Food safety, GMP, Sensory, Allergens, Food Additive significance of uses, basic understanding on SPC. • Supporting new projects for validation and SAT, liaison with government agencies ensuring statutory & regularity compliances.• Establishing, Review and Evaluation of KPIs (e.g. PQI, other Quality Matrices). • Supporting organisation profit making strategies by providing cost effective solution w.r.t. developing new suppliers, ingredients, new method of packaging and identifying for cost reduction opportunities in existing materials.• Support in improving quality of the product and packages by looking opportunities at production processes, process layouts, process sequences to get Best class product as an outcome of processes. • Demonstrating business acumen in leading and managing Manufacturing Operation teams thereby achieving a higher rate of production with minimum quality defects.• Supporting Organisation’s various key decision making processes i.e. Costing reviews & its approval; Identification, review & approvals of efficient contract manufactures; BOM verification & validation; designing and implementation of Business intelligent (BI) system, P.O. release and data interpretation. • Supporting R&D, Marketing, Packaging team in new concept development, review of formulation and applicable product/package regulatory requirements.• Developed & implemented effective consumer/customer communication and feedback system at HO to ensure the communication down the line at factories & minimizing the customer complaints.• Shouldered the responsibility of Managing and controlling Manufacturing operations as a part of improving my Skill matrix for the growth of next level in the organisation.
