Engineering and Development manager for several new applications built for Asset Allocation Division within the Asset management group. The applications included Research Notes for Research Anaylsts, Multiple Universe application for Investment Operations and one application for Asset Allocation Quant analyst.Also i took a new role in the PaaS team as India Engineering manager.

I worked for Fidelity Pricing and Cash Management Operations, back office for Asset management division. I was responsible as a Tech Lead for the iTAAC 2.0 ( Transfer Agent Accounting and Control) project. This was a re-engineering from Legacy system to new system. I was part of the Architecture team responsible for exploring the technologies suggested by Architects, develop Proof of concepts and report out which played a important role in technology decisions for the project.

I was working in Performance Engineering team for DHL. Our team did performance benchmarking of several DHL Client applications. This team suggested DHL recommendations to enhance the performance and scalability of the applications, on the existing code base, design and Architecture. It included tuning the HP OS parameters, web server parameters, Minor code tuning to get the achieved results.This project helped me to gain insights into the HP OS kernel charecteristics and ways to tune it. Also i gained expertise in the usage of Load Runner, Jmeter, BEA server tuning, BEA server clustering concepts, JVM tuning, Garbage collection and tuning, Best practices in Java for delivering effective performance and reporting metrics to put things in perspective vis-a-vis the goals of Performance engineering the application.After this assignment, HP provided me opportunity to train from BEA company on BEA Portal, BEA server administration and BEA Integration server. After this I visited US for 6 months and deputed to BEA Systems. From BEA systems I was deputed for various consulting assignments at the customer site primarily as a BEA Server Specialist. I was responsible for upgrading the BEA Servers and tuning to deliver optimum performance of web application.I also played a role as System Analyst for BEA Systems to understand and document the requirements for BEA Partner Relationship Management Portal.After my return to India, I was part of the Starwoods Offshore Development Center (ODC) within HP. I worked for Valahalla Inventory Management as a Technical Lead for one track. The project primarily aimed at integration of the Legacy mainframe using Service oriented Architecture (SOA). I was responsible for design and development of one track using web services deployed on websphere server.

I then worked for Global Markets Research site portal for Deutsche Bank. I was responsible for support and maintenance of the gm.db.com website in a 6 member team.

I started my stint as a Software Engineer in erstwhile Deutsche Software, subsidiary of Deutsche Bank. The company eventually became DSL Software.I was working in the Lotus Notes technology team, which was responsible for support and enhancements to the entire Global Deutsche Bank mail infrastructure, developed first web application on Lotus Domino server for Deutsche Bank HR (@HRbase), which was recognized with an award for the entire team.Also i independently delivered a solution to upgrade and migrate the mailbox of all users from Lotus Notes V4 to V5.I became expert in Lotus Notes Administration, API programming, C, C++, Javascript, HTML and LDAP. Eventually I transitioned into Java and Oracle platforms. I developed several internal applications for DSL Software. I was then selected for the enhancements and maintenance of money market application DB 2.0. This application was very critical for Deutsche Bank and widely deployed and used in London, Sydney and New York.

I worked in Wipro for a short stint of 6 months on systems and networking. As a customer support engineer, I was responsible for several Wipro customer accounts (Siemens Semiconductor, Honeywell, Novell Systems, Erricsson, Rational Rose, Canara Bank, Indian Institute of Astrophysics) to install and support Sun Microsystems servers & desktops, support network equipments like 3-Com switches, Cisco routers, install and support Multiplexers at the customer site.
