It is one of the world's largest mobile telecommunications companies with operations in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Asia. In addition, it has extensive broadband, telephone, prepaid, postpaid connections and TV distribution. TV channels sale through web portal (B2.se). Web portal is used as a sales channel of triple-play services over DSL and LAN and provides fixed customers with self service and support operations in four Nordic Countries, and a 10-year-old research and business line for Machine-to-Machine technology. There will be millions of CDRs generated daily and this much huge volume of CDRs data will be handled as part of this hadoop project.Responsibilities• Developed different shell scripts to get the Call-Detail-Records (CDRs) data from different network nodes in remote location to HDFS for further processing.• Developed Map Reduce application to calculate the call duration and rating of individual CDRs like prepaid, post-paid and GPRS according to the data which we received from network nodes• Written the Apache PIG scripts to filter and process the HDFS data.• Created Hive tables to store the processed results in a tabular format.• Developed the SQOOP scripts for importing and exporting data between HDFS and MySQL DataBase.• Involved in requirements gathering, design, development and testing phases• Setting up cron jobs to delete hadoop old logs/local old job files/cluster temp files.• Ensure the Production problems are resolved within SLA time.
