- Did research on detecting acetone in human breath, a known biomarker for diabetes and lung cancer, using a device comprised of Photoionization Detectors and heat-driven preconcentrators. Specifically, found and made ways to automate experimentation for the device, and debugged electrical and thermal issues with it.- Currently leading undergraduate engineers to develop respiratory-health devices for commercialization. Working directly with Dr.Hutter on market research and technical development.

As a URA at the Willerson Center, I am responsible for visualizing, simulating, and analyzing a novel synthetic material for prosthetic heart valves to better understand its fiber interactions. Currently, I am digitally reconstructing the material mesh from thousands of 2D nanoCT images and finding the RVE(Representative Volume Element). Then, I will be identifying each individual fiber in the RVE and performing a statistical analysis of the mesh to understand its mechanical properties.

I was a Research Intern at MAANA, a company that enables fast corporate decision making with their knowledge platform, which turns human expertise and data into digital knowledge. As part of the AI research team, I worked on a new MAANA Platform service for OpenML Datasets with GraphQL and Python, and later transitioned to working on improving MAANA’s Metalearning algorithm via experimentation and analysis. My work with MAANA’s Metalearning algorithm involved analyzing run data and read research papers to find improvements on both the algorithm and implementation of it. This involved a strong understanding of reinforcement learning, symbolic planning, and user experience. Some of the improvements I suggested were implemented by the company as can be seen in my technical report (see below). Through this internship, I learned more about Computer Science, Data Science and R&D in a professional setting, as well as more academic aspects, such as Reinforcement Learning, Symbolic Planning, Hierarchical Data and Knowledge Storage, and Statistics.

Interned at Edu.Chat(NYU) as a Core Application Developer. - Agile, TDD development- Use of JIRA, Github, and Silk- Using Django and PostgreSQL to build and sustain RESTful API.- Working on increasing efficiency of in-code ingestion, processing, and querying of data.- Working with other teams(Web, Bot, iOS, and Android) to provide better integration and to add new features.
