The Institute Student Mentorship Programme (ISMP) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic mentors to support incoming freshmen students as they transition to college life at IIT Ropar. As an ISMP mentor, I play a crucial role in helping new students acclimate to their new environment, providing guidance, support, and fostering a sense of community.Key Responsibilities:-Mentorship: Provide one-on-one and group mentorship to assigned freshmen students, offering advice, support, and encouragement.- Orientation: Assist in the planning and execution of orientation programs and activities designed to help new students acclimate to campus life.-Guidance: Help freshmen navigate academic and social challenges, providing resources and referrals as needed.-Community Building: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, encouraging participation in campus activities and promoting engagement within the student community.-Communication: Maintain regular contact with mentees, ensuring they feel supported and connected throughout their first year.-Feedback: Provide feedback to the ISMP coordinators on the effectiveness of the program and suggest improvements based on experiences and mentee feedback.
