Build relationships and trust with grantee partners that advance policies, research, narratives and practices that put children, families and collective well-being first.Develop and manage grants aligned with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s vision to build a Culture of Health in the United States. I focus specifically on finding new ways to make it more likely that all children and families have a fair chance of receiving the resources they need to be healthy. Process qualitative and quantitative findings/learning from grants and use them to refine and pivot strategy as necessary; conduct analysis and share analysis with colleagues, leadership, and with grantee partners.Collaborate with colleagues on the Addressing Structural Racism Advisory group. The group supports development and testing of an all-staff learning series designed to help all staff at the Foundation deepen their ability to name and address structural racism. In short: help shape the strategy, make grants towards the strategy. Do so with fairness and justice as key goals, and build trust with colleagues and partners so that together, we can make the US a more fair and healthy country.

Developed theory of change framework for health in child care settings, based in a social determinants of health model. Identified opportunities in which discrete health-specific interventions in child care settings can have positive impacts on the health of children, families and the community; developed, and deployed policy and practice recommendations at the national, state and local levels using data and individualized strategies to promote change through informal and formal policy mechanisms. Led team and department strategic planning meetings at Child Care Aware® of America. Developed team-specific vision and guiding principles to drive equitable access to healthy child care settings. Ensured all team members had equal voice and opportunity to contribute by using multiple modalities for providing input. Led a portfolio of multiple projects focused on creating equitable access to healthy child care settings, through a mix of public and foundation funds. Expanded portfolio funding by 250% and expanded team from 1 to 5 full time employees.Directed a multi-team project focused on using data to identify opportunities to build equitable access to child care. Using a solution focused therapy model with parents and adults and a parent child interaction theory based interventions with families, provided mental health support for 230 children and families through observation, parent and staff consultations, brief therapeutic treatment and referrals for ongoing therapy.
