Developer Programs Engineer

Mountain View, Ca, Us

I worked with developers and engineers internally and externally to bring about the best applications for the Google TV platform. This role was a mix of design, engineering and public speaking. This role required working closely with the product business development team and product management team to align goals and strategy with developer message. I was responsible for many aspects of Google I/O developer product readiness in 2013 and 2014. Helped launch Sony’s Google TV in Mexico by presenting at “Esto-est Google” and meeting with strategic business partners such as Tela-Azteca then giving presentations about Google TV to local Google Developer Groups. Working with Google’s Ecosystem team lead, I executed on delivering multiple engineering focused presentations to various startup groups and over the air live hangouts. When needed I took responsibility for preparing developer hardware units, documenting the process and managing the logistics in shipping devices to partners - this required working with Marvell to correct technical issues. Wrote for the Android Developer Blog in 2013 covering audio focus (https://goo.gl/A9p2pu) when I discovered a gap in documentation while working with partners. Spent significant amount of time supporting Google TV developers on stack overflow (https://goo.gl/TOAemt). Lastly, because hey this is pretty long already - I earned my Google Java readability.

Front End Software Engineer

Doing cool things to make the internet a better place I worked on an internal tool suite similar in nature to an enterprise CRM. My activities centered around designing and building specific business components into the existing platform using internal Google tech stacks (Java, GWT, Python). My favorite project as a SWE was designing and building an advanced parser library that processed URL data in a novel way which allowed concise human readable error-resistant strings to be used to pass state information. At one point I was also acting as a technical writer for documenting an internal process centered around Google’s internal/external APIs.
