Responsible for all aspects of corporate accounting for all U.S. offices through explosive growth in the U.S. In this role, I built a team of 4 members where we handled accounts payable, all general ledger entries and review, supporting schedules, reporting, payroll processing, acquisition work,and development of policies and procedures as the U.S. operations grew from $3.6M to $198M in revenue over a four year period growing from 3 to 40+ offices.During this time, I also helped to improve our corporate consolidation process by co-leading a systems project where we moved all corporate books off of 6 different legacy systems onto MRI. The project was completed in 6 months using no external consultants and adding only minimal costs to the company. As part of the project, we created user guides and trained all coporate accounting staff.I was recognized twice in my local office for the Victor of the Quarter Award for going above and beyond in the workplace.At the end of December 2014, the corporate accounting function was relocated to Chicago, IL where the U.S. headquarters is located.

While serving as CFO, I continued fulfilling my previous responsibilities at ING Clarion in addition to taking responsibility for processing payroll, securing insurance, completing corporate accounting, and coordinating tax return preparation for the company.I played a key role in the formation of Hodges Management and Leasing Company by setting up the legal entity, securing insurance, and setting up payroll and employee benefits services. Through this transition, I was elected corporate President by the other members of the management team. In this role, I led company wide meetings and communicated regularly with the employees to let them know what the management team was discussing in our monthly meetings. We were proud to retain all of our employees through the economic downturn.When the management team decided to pursue joining Avison Young, I served as the main point of contact throughout the due diligence process and worked with the attorneys and Avison Young contacts to resolve all issues and questions quickly. The transaction closed in July 2010 and all of our employees became employees of Avison Young.

Highlights of my accomplishments at ING Clarion include: - Completing 5 debt refinancing transactions totaling $300M+. - Serving on team for ING Clarion's MRI upgrade conversion project. - Fostering a team-oriented spirit where members often helped in areas beyond their duties.When ING Clarion decided to divest itself of its property management business, I worked with the Corporate Controller to arrange for the assignment of the property management and leasing agreements to Hodges Management and Leasing Company. We also came to terms on a mutually satifying cost sharing arrangement since Hodges continued to occupy space within the ING Clarion office. The whole transition was completed in 6 weeks at the end of 2008.

My position started with the original executive suite company, Omni Offices, owned by Blackstone. My previous supervisor from Lend Lease Real Estate recruited me for this position. During my tenure, we grew from 28 to 150+ executive suites through the acquisitions of HQ franchises around the country. Once we acquired more than 50% of the franchises, we then took over the HQ network. My staff grew to more than 35 team members handling all aspects of general ledger work including accounts payable, collections, systems support and maintenance and support of the cash management function. We also handled all corporate accounting including the preparation of annual budgets by department and interim reporting to the department heads. As co-project leader, we successfully completed system-use design, implementation, conversion and training of CTI Real Estate software by the original target date for the accounting components of the system. I also was selected to work with the CTI programmers in Dallas, TX to test and debug a custom component of the billing portion of the system. The rapid growth of the company necessitated the creation of new policies and procedures. Through re-engineering the monthly close process, enhancing workflows and standardizing the mothly accounting packages, we were able to accelerate monthly close by 8+ days while providing more accurate information.Our new CEO lived in Dallas, TX and during the year or so, he started moving departments from our Atlanta head-quarters to Dallas, TX. The accounting department moved to Dallas at the end of 2000.
