Stakeholder engagement and influencing at all levels of the organization and across Manufacturing and Chemicals was critical in successful delivery. Project Highlights• Developed a comprehensive strategy to change the perception of polystyrene and its recyclability in the Greater Houston Area. This involved meeting with the City of Houston to ensure our product would be included in future city wide recycling efforts, developing relationships with other styrenics companies, organizing Earth Day activities and presenting a new marketing strategy to be rolled out to Houston consumers. • Re-designed the global Shell styrene website to inform consumers and customers about the product’s safety and superiority to other alternatives. The result is a dynamic website that is in line with what Shell would like our customers, other styrenics companies and the industry to communicate to end users of our products.• Authored and presented multiple industry talks that emphasized activities commissioned in Houston, recycling efforts that Shell supports as well as other activities that will change the perception of polystyrene throughout the industry.
