I'm a geek about all things human-related. Culture, engagement, diversity, leadership, communications, learning, development...the list goes on. I read HBR, I speak at industry events, I'm constantly trying to learn more to be more. My unique skill is being able to see the world through others' eyes. This has enabled me to think like the learner when creating training experiences; to think like the audience when delivering a presentation; to think like the employee when communicating; and to think like the client when consulting. It is also what makes me successful in bridging gaps, building relationships, and ultimately in driving business results through people. I'm passionately stuck on creating a more inviting workplace, where everyone has the chance to grow their careers and find success. And when I say 'everyone,' I truly mean everyone -- not just the people in the majority. In order to create an environment that is anywhere close to this, we need to invite other perspectives, engage with those who are different from us, and embrace the unique characteristics of our co-workers. It's not good enough to say we're "inclusive." Inclusive is passive. I want to build an inviting culture, where we are proactive and deliberate about inviting difference. As a quick learner, and someone hard-wired to achieve success, I've been able to pick up what I don't know, improve upon what I do, and often be referred to as an invaluable asset. Currently, I'm helping to make leaders better leaders, and to help us all drive human performance to achieve business results. Isn't that kinda the goal? I do that through targeted and relevant training programs, strategy creation and deployment, ongoing coaching, engaging presentations, and a pure connection with the company's purpose and cultural personality.
