Responsibilities:• Research, write, and submit grant applications on behalf of agency• Represent agency to United Ways, Community Foundations, and potential funders across Alabama and Northwest FloridaFunded grants include: Alabama Department of Child Abuse Neglect and Prevention, Daniel Foundation, Central Alabama Community Foundation, River Region United Way, Alabama Power, and Southeast Alabama Community Foundation

I work with the Connectional Ministries to secure the grant funding they need to implement their missions. I currently assist United Methodist Inner City Mission, Pensacola United Methodist Community Ministries, and Milk and Honey Outreach Ministries.

Since graduating with my Master's Degree in Public Health, I utilized my Public Health skills and my 14 years of grant experience to secure grants from corporate and community foundations to benefit a variety of non-profit organizations. Grant projects included health education programs, summer food programs, ongoing literacy programs, school wellness programs and community recreation programs. I wrote grants for several non-profit organizations, and I also implemented a small literacy in-school program.

I wrote and managed grants to reach underserved populations, including girls at detention centers, living in public housing communities and attending under-resourced schools. Grants were secured from a variety of funding sources, including local and national foundations, corporations, school boards, City and County goverments and federal pass-through grants.
