Medicine and Healthcare students are fully immersed in North Kansas City Hospital providing unprecedented access to real world experiences in the dynamic field of women's health issues, orthopedics, cancer, and cardiology.In the classroom, students will expand upon principles of human anatomy and physiology through in-depth case studies of body systems, develop fluency in basic medical language, formulate treatment plans for patients, practice physical assessment skills, and perform patient care and life-saving procedures within a simulation lab. Students will receive certification in CPR and AED certification. Students will also develop a medical and healthcare project and have real work experience in the medicine and healthcare fields second semester.

Taught Health and PE to a variety of grades and schools. Elkhorn Elementary K-5 Elementary PE, Westview Elementary K-5 PE and then RtI (Response to Intervention for Reading), Roosevelt Grades 4&5 PE, High School Health Educator, Cheerleading Coach, Sponsor Team Spirit.

Worked in the Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine Clinic connected to North Kansas City Hospital during the day and covered athletics for local high school teams, KC Chief's Cheerleaders, Professional Dancers, and professional Soccer Team in the evenings & weekends.

I was a teacher/trainer at Norfolk Collegiate School. I taught 7th grade Life Science, 7th,8th, or 10th grade Health and PE, and Sports Medicine. We had a wonderful staff including Headmaster Will King and my Science Department mentor Susan Minsburg. The sweet lunch ladies keep confusing me with 7th graders - boy, was that a long time ago! I even got to help Athletic Director Larry Swearingen as an assistant athletic director. After all, I was already at all of the games as the Athletic Trainer! My son, Joshua Zebro was born while I was employed here and he was often with me on the sidelines.
