I'm a branding and experience design consultant. It’s like being a couple’s therapist between my clients and their customers. I help them figure out what they like about each other and how they can strengthen their relationship. The customers get more of what they need from the brand, and the brand feels like they can rely on the customer to be there for a long time. Sometimes, I even recommend they break up – for the sake of each party in the relationship.If we start talking, I'll talk a lot about psychology and narrative. Sometimes the meaning of life.     The March for Science Chicago, one of more than 600 marches around the world, was a nonpartisan, diverse group of volunteers that come together to support the scientific community; safeguard the value and funding of a scientific approach to important, meaningful questions; celebrate the role and potential of science in our lives; and encourage a scientific curiosity in government, labs, classrooms and homes.As an organizer of the March for Science Chicago, I had the privilege and responsibility of focusing the energy and passion of hundreds of volunteers toward a single goal. In 2017, the result was the management of 600 volunteers, a total revenue of more $100 thousand in approximately one month, and a gathering of more than 60,000 Chicagoans - one of the largest marches in the world - raising their voices in support and defense of science. This was accomplished through engaging the public in a meaningful narrative, managing our presence in the media, and creating a more relatable presence on social media channels.Now, the March for Science Chicago continues its mission. As Chairman of the Board, I'm responsible for offering strategic guidance for the future and creating an organization and a brand that will become a platform for the movement beyond the march itself.Check out the link below to see me speak at the National Press Club about the March for Science and its importance to the world.

    At Jumpstart, I stewarded the brand through a complete relaunch. Being one of two members of the marketing department, this meant developing and managing content for the web-site and publishing the e-newsletter to more than 2,000 donors on a quarterly schedule. Launching the new brand also required me to train the national and regional staff on the style and usage guidelines and the templates available for brand consistency. My proudest achievement at Jumpstart was the national campaign called, “Read for the Record” which inspired adults to read a book with their children across the country.
