Tech Lead for the Sessions team in the IAM domain. The sessions team works on providing scalable, secure and resilient systems for authentication and sessions management. Our work enables hundreds of millions of refresh token exchanges and tens of millions of new authentication sessions per day. We also provide innovative solutions to our customer's needs such as implementing new OIDC standards, a comprehensive sessions management capability and building upon our extensibility platform to provide our customers with best in class tooling for their integrations with Auth0.Responsibilities include:- Working with Product Managers on building a technical roadmap- Software architecture ownership for team’s projects to ensure what we build is scalable and resilient- Mentoring engineers in my team- Delivering high quality software that is performant (sustained RPS in the thousands) and is also secure by design- Writing of public-facing documentation for our APIs- Working with other leads and architects across Auth0 to continually improve our practices and solve cross-cutting concerns

Working across several software engineering teams to help improve collaboration by standardising practices, provide solutions to cross-cutting problems and manage technical debt.A large part of my role was to provide systems and application architecture plans that could evolve based on the needs of the business. My process was to start with a simple, modular architecture that could then be iterated upon to work towards a highly scalable and fault tolerant system using a Domain-Driven Design approach. This method meant that designs could be tailored to the number of engineers available to work on the project with the target delivery plan in mind.
