As a veteran of association management, I have an extraordinary passion for improving member engagement through the development of community. Why? Because I believe, as Margaret Mead once said, a group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Throughout my career I have found that I most enjoyed working with caring and devoted staff and volunteer leaders in both large and small, trade and professional, associations. I am passionate about serving associations that are working to advance society. In my role with McKinley Advisors, I get to help association executives in a multitude of professions and industries maximize their impact. I have been an active volunteer for ASAE since the start of my association career, serving my own profession as a speaker and facilitator at conferences and as a content facilitator for the Certified Association Executive preparation course. I wrote for the second edition of ASAE's publication Core Competencies in Association Professional Development and served on ASAE’s Professional Development Council and Diversity Committee. I've also written articles and served as a peer reviewer for ASAE and the Center. I believe it is important to serve as a volunteer to understand the needs, motivations and goals of our own volunteers. I became a Certified Association Executive in 2007.I would love to support your association.
