A 5-year professional specialty training programme in Public Health. Training and professional exams to cover across the full range of public health domains: epidemiology, research, disease causation, health promotion, health protection, health information, sociology of health and illness, health economics, organisation, and management of health services.Key placements and projects include: - NHS England Clinical Policy Unit - Led analysis and report to explore resource allocation for patients with differing levels of frailty. Included economic analysis and modelling across the full care pathway, utilising electronic frailty index (eFI) and Kent Integrated Dataset (KID). Presented provisional findings in a workshop format at the National Frailty Conference, Leeds (2017). - Service review of a triple-integrated care model for patients with serious and enduring mental health issues (results published in BJGP)- Health protection risk assessment for asylum seeker initial accommodation centre - Core member of the Faculty of Public Health (FPH) Sustainable Development Special Interest Group (SIG)- Plenary speaker at Students in Global Health national conference 2017; delivered a plenary talk and answered panel questions related to the sustainability of global food systems. - Service re-design for adult weight-loss services in Sheffield, including an updated pathway for bariatric surgical patients.

National Practice Manager (Hospitalist Division) of a national hospitalist practice management company based in Dallas Texas. (NB UK equivalent is National Programme Manager)Managed all front office and reimbursement functions of national hospitalist programme during a time of growth of division from 30 to over 50 programs, including practices in 16 states staffed by over 385 physicians. Recognized as one of the largest national hospitalist management companies in the US.Responsibilities included key role in development of new hospitalist programs, performance evaluation of existing programs, staff recruitment, management of 4 regional supervisors and programme staff of over 60 people. Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate operations, including medical record submission and revenue capture. Developed and directed plans for local marketing of new and existing programs. Member of Hospitalist Division senior management team, responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans and contributing to quarterly and annual reports.

Oversaw billing operations for EmCare Hospitalist contracts. Served as liaison between physician management and billing company. Forecast quarterly patient revenue for 30+ hospitalist practices. Researched and corrected issues affecting proper and timely cash collection. Identified revenue opportunities. Travelled to national sites addressing concerns raised by physicians, management companies or hospital administration.
