As an Offshore Project and Permit Manager with 15 years of professional experience, I have managed and/or conducted policy and regulatory reviews, developed extensive feasibility and risk/constraint registers and reports, organized project surveys, supported design compliance, and prepared comprehensive federal, state, and local permit applications. Offshore wind project experiences are primarily within the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Coast regions, with some additional works specific to California. Large-scale renewable and linear (transmission/pipeline) energy advisory, bid preparation and strategy, environmental assessment, and permitting services have been performed throughout all regions of the US, along with some global experiences (i.e., Canada, Chile, and U.K.).Additional responsibilities include leading multi-disciplinary teams (internal and external), conducting stakeholder mapping, assessment and facilitating engagements, acting as an agency liaison, developing necessary project plans subsequent to key permit applications, assisting with minimization and mitigation of risks, and implementing and maintaining mechanisms (on behalf of the Client) to support successful permitting and compliance with permits issued throughout construction and operation phases. As part of my role with DNV, I am responsible for the development, maintenance, and presenting of the leasing and permitting section for DNV’s Offshore Wind Interactive Training Course.
