Credentialing Specialist
Current-Assist in processing the initial and reappointment applications.-Verification on initial and reappointment applications. -Follow-up with applicants on missing credentials and application documentation.-Assist in the maintenance and running of reports in the Echo Credentialing Database.-Committee functions including Credentials, MEC, Bylaws, and Medical Staff, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, Privileges.-Oversight for the OPPE/Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) process.-Review the American Medical Association and National Practitioner Data Bank, and follow-up on all discrepancies.-Keep Division Chiefs and Department Chairs informed of applications in process, issues, etc.-Create and run reports (filters, listings, data wizard) as needed. -Manage the Medical Staff meetings on monthly or quarterly basis, including completing agendas, minutes, and meeting notices.-Ensure all regulatory-required and other changes are presented to the medical staff, approved and added to the appropriate document.-Maintain a working knowledge of the bylaws, and rules and regulations.-Manage the annual review of medical staff privileges.-Oversight of the board certification process for the medical staff membership.-Perform any and all other duties as assigned.
