Supervised the operations of 18 civilian and military analysts, with an emphasis on providing technical advice and quality control for Army analysis. Led the planning and execution for two studies centered on future requirements for counter – small unmanned aircraft systems, notably spearheading the Army’s first rigorous counter small-UAS study under extremely compressed timelines. Successfully synchronized the activities of novel modeling and simulation techniques, table-top exercises, and a broad industry survey of emerging technologies to inform large investment decisions. This study was awarded, the Army’s top study in FY22. Led the design and development of an innovative combat model and successfully overcame institutional barriers to using novel modeling methods by building trust among various stakeholders, ultimately garnering recognition from the Army Modeling and Simulation Office. This model was selected as the best paper at the Army Operations Research Symposium in FY23.

While deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan, led the Assessments and Analysis Group for U.S. mission Operation Freedom Sentinel and NATO mission Resolute Support. The AAG provided insights and recommendations to a four-star, joint, multi-national headquarters. Supervised diverse staff sections responsible for delivering assessments such as the ‘1225 Report to Congress’, NATO Resolute Periodic Mission Review, and inputs for the Special Investigator General for Afghanistan Reconstruction. Developed and refined methodologies to measure the levels of violence in the Afghan theater of operations, producing a weekly analytic product regularly used by senior officials at the DoD and Department of State.While at Ft. Bliss, TX, provided campaign plan assessments and advanced analytics supporting the building of readiness across 6 armored combat brigades. The advanced quantitative analytic techniques I developed were recognized by the Army Headquarters Operations and Commanding General, Forces Command for their impact on Personnel and Supply Readiness. Designed and improved assessment products for Division staff, facilitating the Commanding General to quickly visualize the operational environment and the consequences and tradeoffs of tactical decisions on the broader mission.
