In this role I managed a team of two associates who were responsible for maintaining data integrity and assisting in the development of various projects.This included the development of reports and data models in Power BI, as well as the creation of programs using Python and SQL to automate complex tasks such as capacity planning, labor management, and scheduling. I was also responsible for analyzing this data and communicating findings to upper management in monthly meetings.

In my role as a senior staff member in the Plant Strategy department, I implemented a business intelligence structure for easily analyzing scrap loss and efficiency actuals in Power BI.Through the analysis of this data, I was also responsible for indicating areas most in need of improvement, escalating concerns to management, or making proposals for improvement such as changes in workload allocation or line balancing in addition to maintaining my prior responsibilities as a capacity planner.

In my role as capacity planner, I was responsible for creating a structure to monitor plant wide workload and capacity for a facility with 46 injection machines and over 30 vibration welding and assembly processes.I was able to utilize MS Excel to create an organized, repeatable method of easily and logically calculating this information based on the bill of materials, customer forecasts, and production actuals.Based on this information, I communicated and escalated workload concerns to the company president and operations management, which helped the company decide production locations for new model products and avoid potential capacity constraints.

In my role as a Japanese interpreter and translator, I was responsible for facilitating communication between the Japanese and American management staff.As an interpreter, I was involved in meetings related to all aspects of the company, including HR, accounting, production, engineering, production planning, and more. As I learned more about the business, I became more involved in aggregating data for reports in Excel, creating presentation materials in Power Point, and serving as the customer's point of contact and project coordinator for an interdepartmental production outsourcing initiative.

As an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT), I was assigned to work for the Shijonawate City Board of education in Osaka, Japan.During this time I worked with dozens of Japanese teachers teaching classes of 35-40 junior high and elementary school students.I also assisted the board of education with translation, mentoring of new ALTs, and consulting on English educational techniques.
