I… Show more As a Fulfillment Center Lead, it has been my responsibility to lead in multiple areas of the facility.From staffing my areas with Team Members, removing their barriers, reporting on successes, bridging failures, and generally working and delegating work to make my area successful, this has been a fulfilling position. I am also responsible for ensuring TMs do not have time off task, are performing at an adequate level, are adhering to safety practices, and are up to date on required trainings. I have mastered Auto Store, the spearhead of Chewy Inc's 2G fulfillment centers. I was a Mods lead, and am now the HMI flow lead. HMI flow lead is different from the other types of supervision I have been entrusted with. HMI has control over the conveyance systems, like a traffic controller, to keep the building running smoothly and efficiently. A 3D readout shows me the whole automated system and I am like the "eye in the sky," keeping everyone updated on outbound, jams, heavy zones stopping the flow where people must be shifted to keep the production efficient, and where the bottle necks occur. I also control how many containers are in the mods based off the total headcount. I am tasked as well with the hourly reporting to our upper management on how every hour performs,as well as placing fix tickets to maintenance for them to work on the equipment. Show less

I worked in the four-story mods where Chewy Inc. keeps the products they sell and distribute. My job required me to go where I was needed to pick items for orders at a fast pace. In certain areas, everything I picked up weighed as much as 40 to 60lbs. Many times I would be in those areas my whole ten-hour shift, picking at a rate of 40 to 50 units per hour. I was also expected to survey the areas for safety concerns, and re-pack any boxes I saw that someone else had picked improperly.

I ran a CNC mill as well as a manual lathe. I ran the mill manually, and by inputting dimensions and parameters into programs someone else engineered. I also operated a manual lathe. While my mill was cutting key slots in shafting material I was expected to operate the lathe in turning operations. I kept tolerances within.002 of an inch. I can also operate a shear machine, drill presses, band saws, standard modern manual lathes, and vertical key cutters. I understand the building blocks of machining and performed machining full-time for seven years. Additionally, I completed 2 years of machine shop class in high school. I have run parts from aluminum, differing grades of mild and stainless steel, 2205 stainless steel, hastelloy, and monel nickel copper alloys. So, I also have an understanding of speed and feeds needed to get the most out of tooling in various types of material. I am willing to grow and learn new skills and am an eager and hard worker. I cooked all the food on nightshift. I cleaned every cooking appliance. I took out the trash, replaced fryer oil, and disposed of the old fry oil. I cleaned the whole kitchen floor.
